UNNES Wins International Award at SEED 2025
Yogyakarta, July 16–18, 2025 — Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has once again achieved remarkable success at the international SEED (Sustainable Ideas through Education, Engineering, and Design) competition held at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. This prestigious event brings together young innovators in science, technology, and education, encouraging the integration of creativity, responsibility, and practical innovation in learning.
At this event, UNNES sent six student teams, all of which received awards and nominations. The achievements include:

🥉 3 teams won the Bronze Award
🎖️ 2 teams received Honorable Mentions
These accomplishments demonstrate UNNES's commitment to pushing students not only to excel nationally but also to compete on the international stage with innovative works focused on sustainability.
SEED is an international initiative that was launched alongside the inauguration of the STEAM Lab at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, and has since expanded through Fab Lab installations at major Educational Institutions in Indonesia, including UPI, UNNES, and Undiksha. This event serves as a platform for students to innovate while internalizing the values of sustainability in every project.
With this achievement, UNNES further solidifies its position as a conservation-minded university, continuously encouraging students to produce creative and applicable solutions to global challenges, especially in the fields of science, technology, and sustainable education.
